Common Ground
Common Ground is an immersive documentary conceived and directed by Darren Emerson, which explores the history and legacy of social housing in the UK with a focussing on the notorious Aylesbury Estate and its residents.
The documentary mixes stereoscopic 360° video, illustration and real time photogrammetrically captured environments to explore how the planning and design of the estate in the 1960s and shifts in politics over generations have touched the lives of those who call it home today.
Common Ground was funded by Creative XR and was an official selection at Tribeca 2019. It won Best Immersive Storytelling at Sandbox Immersive Festival.
